Maisy Goes to Hospital

 One day, Maisy was bouncing on her trampoline.  She bounced very high.  Oh no! Maisy fell.  She hurt her leg.  Poor Maisy!  Charley went with Maisy to the hospital.  Maisy had never been to the hospital before.  “You need to have an      X-ray,” Doctor told Maisy.  The X-ray showed that Maisy had broken her leg.  Doctor Duck put a plaster cast on Maisy’s leg. 

“You’ll need to stay in the hospital tonight.”  Nurse Comfort put Maisy to bed in the children’s ward.  Maisy’s leg was raised in a special lift.  Being away from home felt strange.  Maisy missed her friends.  “Hello.  My name’s Dotty,” said the patient in the other bed.  “I’m Maisy.”  Maisy and Dotty traded toys.

Tallulah and Cyril came during visiting hours the next morning.  Maisy shared her balloons and cookies with Dotty.  Before she left, Tallulah signed Maisy’s cast. 

Doctor Duck told Maisy, “You can go home now.  But no trampolining yet!  Come back in a few weeks to have the cast taken off.”  Before Maisy left, Nurse Comfort showed her how to walk using crutches. 

Charley arrived to take Maisy home.  “Goodbye, Dotty, “ Maisy said to her new friend.  “Get well soon!”

Itu adalah cerita Maisy Goes to Hospital yang dibawakan oleh 7 siswa SD Tetum Bunaya pada Short Play Contest di @America, Pacific Place Mall.

Cerita itu merupakan bagian dari seri Maisy karya Lucy Cousins. Isi cerita sederhana dan mudah dicerna anak.

Untuk kegiatan Short Play Contest ini anak-anak dengan bersemangat membuat peralatan. Mereka juga memakai topeng dan ekor karya kakak-kakak.

Pada pememtasan, mereka terlihat percaya diri. Ada salah satu wakil orang tua yang menjadi narator, yaitu Bu Inul.

Pada kontes itu SD Tetum Bunaya mendapatkan juara ke-3.
